The Senior Database Administrator will assert him/herself into complex database project assignments where he/she will represent Infrastructure Support Team in all dialogue and decisions around the architecture, deployment, and/or management of database environments. The Senior Database Administrator will also take primary role in the definition of database administration best practices and database development standards across critical business application areas. To succeed at this function requires that the individual represents subject matter expertise in all aspects of MSSQL Server infrastructure including MSSQL Server installations , database performance tuning , backup and recovery, HADR solutions, compliance and security setup and provide excellent database support Primary Responsibilities and Duties: Provide specifications for provisioning new MSSQL Servers and manage their installation and configuration to provide optimum results Plan database upgrades and patching to avoid operational risks by maintaining application support requirements.
