They have not changed the Glider assessment for the role at this point, but are asking for submittals. Please make it a priority to find a JAVA architect with recent JAVA programming experience. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to St. Louis for this role. Fully remote is not an option. Candidates will spend 70-80% of their time on architecture and 20-30% doing JAVA development. Need to have some messaging experience (Kafka, MQ, etc.) Will be splitting time between 2 groups working on the upgrade of a major application at Mastercard. One side is JAVA, Spring Boot, messaging and the other side is JAVA, TSQL. Any experience with IIB (IBM Integration Bus) or ACE (as it was formerly called) would be a huge plus. Candidates MUST have strong communication skills and be able to interact with all levels of the organization, including executive management. Should only take resources 1-2 months to ramp up and strong preference for someone local or willing to relocate on assignment start date and be onsite a minimum of 2 days/week. Willingness to come in more frequently would be great. The rest of the time would be spent in creating architectural documents, coding, POCs, and design work as necessary to meet the project objectives.
