The ideal candidate should possess expertise in data transformation, with a strong preference for hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as Snowflake and proficiency in data build tool (dbt). A background in K12 education is highly desired to ensure a deep understanding of the specific data needs and challenges in the education sector. Duties and Responsibilities: Tableau Development: Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports to meet the organization's data visualization needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Tableau solutions. Data Transformation: Utilize expertise in data transformation to clean, manipulate, and transform raw data into a usable format for analysis and reporting. Implement best practices for data quality, consistency, and integrity. Cloud Technologies: Leverage cloud technologies, particularly Snowflake, to store and manage large datasets efficiently. Ensure seamless integration of Tableau with cloud platforms to optimize performance and scalability. Data Build Tool (dbt): Utilize dbt for data modeling, version control, and deployment, ensuring a streamlined and efficient development process. Implement and maintain data transformations in dbt to support analytical needs. K12 Education Focus: Apply knowledge and experience in K12 education to understand the unique data requirements and challenges in the education sector. Collaborate with education professionals to tailor Tableau solutions to meet specific educational analytics needs. Qualifications: Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.) or equivalent work experience. Required and Desired Skills/Certifications: Proven experience in Tableau development, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. In-depth understanding of data transformation techniques and best practices. Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, particularly Snowflake. Proficiency in data build tool (dbt) for data modeling and transformation. Familiarity with K12 education data and reporting requirements is strongly preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
