Kroger wants to offer high priority Flash Sale items within the customer digital order checkout for select products, in advance of their Peak of Freshness or Expiration date. Flash Sales are FIFO (First in, first out). These products are still guaranteed to be delivered to the customer with at least the same minimum deliverable life, as non-Flash Sales offerings, regardless of any discounts as part of the offer. Tech leads will be accountable for capability and any shared component code repository once received from product team Mentorship for Dev Team Complete code reviews. Ensure that Kroger standards are being adhered to. Ensure that education/code improvements are completed as part of the code review process and share within the team Follow defined branching strategies Act as a mentor to the dev team to ensure continuous growth of the team Promoting a balance between product enhancement and stability Assist the dev team with more complex troubleshooting / debugging needs Provide technical direction/architectural interpretation for the dev team Act as technical expert in Discovery events by providing technical direction/architectural input Understand architectural vision (from Enterprise Architects) and communicate that vision with the dev team Ensure consistency and alignment of developers technical decisions Act as primary technical point of contact to minimize noise and distractions on the dev team - primary point person Represent team in Tech Talks and ensure learnings/communications are funneled to the dev teams Accountable for their assigned code repositories and maintaining them in support of the branching strategy, dev branch updates, and pull requests Collaboration with Product Leadership Collaborate with Product to ensure clarity is gained on business ask/requirements Collaborate with Architecture team to ensure clarity is gained on the overarching solution/design Lead technical conversations for planning events Act as the technical liaison for technical questions Required Background: Proven success developing Java web applications associated with large scale projects Experience building solutions using Azure, java, spring boot, github actions, angular, kafka, kotlin Good understanding of Cloud terraform is a must High-functioning, self-driven, motivated, and curious. Develops with supportability in mind. Do not wait for others to solve a problem get behind the wheel and drive the solution! Excels in team related competencies including Solution Architecture, Data warehousing, Data Modeling, Development, Testing and Documentation.
