Job Description -

JOB TITLE: PeopleSoft Functional Analyst

LOCATION: Austin, TX (position will be REMOTE WITHIN TEXAS. Candidates must currently reside in Texas)

START DATE: Approx. 1/2/24

DURATION: Initial contract for 1,600 hours through 8/31/24 with optional extensions

JOB DESCRIPTION/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Peoplesoft Technical Functional Analyst completes software development tasks including features, new functionality, and upgrades.

This position works with technical support staff, functional analysts, or network specialists to develop code fixes, to perform modifications and/or updates to existing systems per design documents or to implement new interfaces or processes. The individual will be able to Identify, investigate and resolve production problems and participate in code reviews to ensure compliance with development standards and system/business requirements.

Designs, codes, and modifies complex computer programs, subroutines, triggers, stored procedures, objects, classes, and scripts. Performs necessary testing of assigned programs, including the generation of test data, writing test scripts/execution sequences, examining test results, debugging detected errors, etc. Performs customer service, coordination, and communications in a complex HHSC organization. 

Oversees trainers, technical support staff, network specialists, and contract staff to perform modifications and updates to existing systems or to implement new systems. Identifies, investigates, and resolves production problems. This may include analyzing problems, coding, testing, implementing, and training of other technical staff and/or customers. Facilitates stakeholders and user approvals of new system modifications and the migration of fixes. 

Develops current software development methods/techniques and establishes development standards (which include programming standards, documentation standards and testing standards) to ensure the quality and maintainability of applications. Oversees code reviews to ensure compliance with development standards and system/business requirements. Develops and maintains documentation CAPPS Financial Security roles and tasks for internal IT staff and stakeholders. 

Performs other related tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned in response to a business need.

8    Required    PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2

8    Required    PeopleCode and Application Packages

8    Required    Application Engine, COBOL, and SQR

8    Required    Integration Broker (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML)

8    Required    Advanced SQL and PL/SQLAdvanced SQL and PL/SQL

8    Required    Functional Knowledge of P2P and O2C Process and Data Flow, Core Tables in the above flow

8    Required    Skill in PeopleCode, SQL analysis tools & explain plans, PeopleTools, and PeopleSoft debugging

8    Required    Knowledge in migration of objects/projects to production.

8    Required    Knowledge and understanding of writing and testing code.

8    Required    (at least 7 years) Knowledge of information technology standards, practices, and project lifecycle.

8    Required    (at least 5 years) Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues in a complex system environment.

8    Required    (at least 5 years) Ability to develop technical reporting, develop work plans, track progress, and provide oral and written status reports

8    Required    (at least 2 years) BI Publisher Reports and PS Queries

8    Required    (at least 2 years) AWE

8    Required    (at least 2 years) Analyzing functional design requirements

8    Required    (at least 2 years) Experience with Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio)

8    Required    (at least 2 years) Experience working with SharePoint Lists

2    Preferred    Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) CAPPS Financials State of Texas Baseline on PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2

2    Preferred    Development in PeopleSoft GL, AP, or PO modules

1    Preferred    Working with the Scrum or Scrumban process

1    Preferred    Working with the STAT migration tool

1    Preferred    Working with the Tivoli scheduling tool

1    Preferred    Working with Jira as a user
