The candidate will Work business hours and provide after-hours support including but not limited to weekends, holidays, and on-call. Provide coverage for other Oracle DBAs as necessary. Contract Duration: 1 to 2 years (renewed annually). Responsibilities Install, implement, test, and maintain Oracle databases. Provide Database Administrator (DBA) Support for application developers. Disaster Recovery preparedness for Oracle Database Servers by maintaining and tuning backup and recovery processes. Installs, configures, and patches Oracle. Complete SQL and other scripting Identify and troubleshoot performance issues Monitor major data movement processes Ensure information security Provide end-user support to technical and non-technical audiences Skills and Qualifications Strong Database Administration experience with Oracle technologies Strong knowledge in writing and maintaining scripts Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems In-depth experience performing Oracle database backup and restores Experience supporting Oracle backend for Peoplesoft Strong Analytical and troubleshooting skills Strong Technical communication skills String documentation skills Work well in a collaborative team environment Be able to work on multiple projects and assignments at the same time in an organized manner Experience and Education Minimum of 5 years experience in the last 7 years as an Oracle Database Administrator in a lead role include DB design (modelling and normalization), capacity planning, performance tuning, storage management, back-up, and recovery, managing schemas, report generation and DB clustering technologies.
