The Unconventional Network team at ExxonMobil is looking for a new team member to fill an Expert Level Network Security Engineer role (contractor) )at the ExxonMobil campus in Spring, TX. This role will entail providing network security infrastructure design, implementation, and support for company sites in Americas region. Some of the activities that will be performed include the implementation and support of firewalls, network switches, routers, wireless technology, and working with our customers in the field. Excellent customer service skills, experience in the oil/gas industry, and advanced knowledge of network security infrastructure is required. As part of this role, you will be expected to report our Spring office daily and participate in a rotating on-call support schedule. Team Overview: The Unconventional Network team at ExxonMobil supports the L3, L3.5 and L4 network in the process control environment at district/field offices located throughout the United States. We work with Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, and Fortinet firewalls as well Cisco routers and wireless products. Our team is located in Houston and we are starting to expand our presence to Argentina. Technical Skills: o Minimum 5 years network security experience, but prefer 10 year. o 2-5 years of experience with SDWAN. o Cisco & Fortinet firewalls including IPS. o CCIE level knowledge. o Working knowledge of: o DOT1X (802.1X). o DNS (Infoblox/BloxOne are a bonus). o BGP. o Netbrain. o Solarwinds Orion. Additional Skills Required: o Excellent problem solving and analytical capabilities. o Ability to work well in a team environment. o Works with minimal supervision and follows through on all assigned tasks. *Onsite/Remote work flexibility expectations: On-Site only. *Position is slated for 1 to 2 years pending performance. *Interview Process: Initial Zoom interview (30 minutes) & in person interview if they are qualified and get through the first interview.
