These roles will join an existing Programming team and focus on implementing new systems and migrating existing systems to the Servoy Platform. These positions include 1 role working part-time and one role working full-time. These roles can be 100% remote within the US. Our Client is in the Eastern time zone as to their primary workday. These roles are focused on sharing best practices related to implementing systems on the Servoy Platform and involve complete application development with both front-end and back-end programming skills required. The primary programming languages utilized are JavaScript and SQL. These roles focus on complete application development. They are NOT Web/JavaScript Developer roles in the traditional sense but focus on back-end Application Development where the business logic is coded using JavaScript. Duties include: * Knowledge Transfer as to best practices for software migration and development on the Servoy platform. * Design, develop, modify, deploy, and support applications of moderate to high degrees of complexity on the Servoy platform. * Programming business applications primarily in JavaScript. * Participate in developing end-user training materials and documenting system best practices for the applications developed. * Participate in the re-design of a successful legacy system developed in a traditional database development environment and moving the functionality to a Servoy (web-based platform) that primarily uses JavaScript, HTML, CSS and SQL. JOB REQUIREMENTS * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * One role can be part-time (daytime, evenings, and weekends), the other role is full-time (Eastern time zone) * 2+ years experience working with the Servoy development platform * Strong programming skills and aptitude, a passion for software development * Problem-solving skills that encompass both the technical need balanced with the business need * MS Windows, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL programming experience * Full SDLC experience building SAAS business software The Client is a small firm in Grand Rapids, so no need to check if Candidates have talked with them before, they havent posted anything outbound on this role and we have no competition. One of the owners let me know if I run across someone with a Servoy background that is open to consulting work, they would consider one person part time and one full time, based on Eastern time zone. The part-time person could be someone who just wants to Freelance (ie. before/after core business hours). No set duration at this time, could go long term. They have a team of JavaScript Developers who are learning the Servoy platform and they are using a resource from Servoy, which I have to assume is pretty expensive. So we just need to know what hourly rate the Consultant needs.
