Power BI Service & Report Server : Experience in deploying, configuring, and managing Power BI Service (cloud) and/or Power BI Report Server (on-prem/cloud VMs). Administration & Governance : Skills in managing workspaces, apps, and datasets in Power BI Service. Understands best practices for report lifecycle management, version control, and data governance. DAX : Strong skills in Data Analysis Expressions for creating custom calculations, aggregations, and measures. Power Query : Experience in data transformation and ETL processes using Power Query and the M language. Power BI Dataflows : Experience with self-service data preparation using Power BI dataflows. Familiarity with integrating Power BI dataflows and applying ETL at scale and setting up dataflow refresh schedules. Power BI Gateway : Knowledge of setting up and managing Power BI Gateway for on-premises data refresh scenarios (like Tableau Bridge). Data Modeling : Ability to design and implement data hierarchies and relationships in Power BI. SQL : Strong SQL skills, as many of the data sources they might connect to will likely be SQL-based (like Snowflake). Cloud Infrastructure : Understanding of cloud platforms, particularly Azure, especially if considering hosting Power BI Report Server on an Azure VM.
