Please share suitable profiles. Job Description - Cloud Security Engineer (hybrid) Location: Oak Park Heights, MN Duration: 6 months As our Azure environment grows, were finding it increasingly difficult for our current cloud engineers to share the lead on security in our environment. This work really needs an engineer dedicated to working with our platform team, enterprise security, and our application workload teams to help guide security policies, ensure policy adherence in our environment, and work closely with our workload customers to educate them about cloud security best practices. Overview This manager leads the platform engineer team which is focused on MS Azure. They have a very mature and complex environment there. He has a number of cloud engineers on his team and they work closely with the information security team. The challenges they have been running into is being able to take security controls/best practices from the industry (CIS 18 and NIST) and implement them at a very detailed level into their environment. Their engineers build it- they create space on the cloud for developers (workload teams)- but those teams have various technical capabilities in Azure, some are strong, others have no experience. So they may not know how best to configure their environment to ensure it is secure, or how best to troubleshoot if data isnt flowing properly. The cloud engineers on his team have had to fill that gap and its challenging for them because no one is really focused on that. He got approval to bring someone on that is focused on the security of cloud environments - governance, policy setting with the security team, working with workload teams to ensure environments are secure, ensure they arent doing things they shouldnt be, etc. This person wont be teaching people how to do everything, but pointing them in the right direction, getting online training, guiding, etc. Selling Point for this Role While Andersen just recently celebrated being in business for 120 years, the technology they are working with is not outdated. They are fairly bleeding edge in this space. They have a pretty significant contract with Microsoft and their team is pushing Microsofts buttons a lot, always on the cutting edge of their work. They push MS to use the latest products- they are working on ground breaking things. Its a fun environment of highly technical people and cutting edge technology with support from leadership. Hard Requirements: 3+ years of experience working as a Cloud Security Engineer Solid MS Azure Experience (they will not take an AWS (or other cloud) person, must be strong in Azure specifically) Advanced cloud security engineer who can do solutioning (not an architect) Experience with engineering and troubleshooting solutions using security tools DevSecOps experience, particularly with web application and API security Needs to have CIS 18 and NIST experience and experience implementing those into an Azure environment. This person needs to be able to take those standards and break them down into controls and what it means within Azure specifically, needs to be able to translate that. Needs to be more Senior- a security advocate with leadership skills. Number of years he is flexible on, but should have at least 3 years. For example: If only 3 years but are really solid in this space and actually leading this type of work, he is fine with that. They will be expected to jump right in, they dont have time to get someone up to speed on their technologies. Should have experience working in a larger organization, not just small companies MS Defender for Cloud MS Sentinel- should be at least familiar with this tool and other logging tools. Part of what this person will be working on is helping them improve their MS Secure Score, they want to strengthen their security profile. If they dont know what this is/cant talk the talk in this space, they wont be a fit. Active Directory, Azure Active Directory Agile Experience- they are an Agile shop, they operate in 2 week sprints (4 week sprints occasionally for special projects). Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, not afraid to reach out to others, able to mentor and educate others, needs to be able to take the initiative and step out of their to do that. There will be heads down work of course too, but there will be internal customer interaction. Nice to Haves: MS Defender for Kubernetes (this is newer to all of them) Microsoft Identity Manager (this is an older technology) Regards, Satyam Gond Keywords: information technology microsoft Minnesota http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=807215&uid= |
