They do institute week the 2nd week of everything month so ideally they would be able to attend it. However, he is open to non-local talent that needs to be remote.

MUST HAVE

5+ Experience with Planisware 

Project managed a Planisware implementation 

Experience with change management as there will be a challenge around user adoption (Scientists and technical people will have a way of doing things and this will change how they do product development moving forward) 

Methodology is more Agile but he is not tied to a particular one 

Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute (MRI) and he is seeking a Project Manager to lead their phase 2 of a Planisware Implementation. Planisware is a product development tool for biotech and pharma companies. They had done phase 1 earlier this year where they migrated from MS Project and Sharepoint into Planisware. The next phase (phase 2) kicked off last week where they will be integrating resource planning, cost forecasting, and contract planning.  This role is ideally commutable to their Cambridge office in Kendall Square. They do institute week the 2nd week of everything month so ideally they would be able to attend it. However, he is open to non-local talent that needs to be remote.

Workstreams in Phase 2:

(i)           Resource forecasting will be successfully implemented when functional job-roles and their respective utilizations will be assigned to functional activities listed in generic functional plans.

(ii)          Cost forecasting will be successfully implemented once cost information can be dynamically exchanged between PLWE and the Institute's financial planning software Adaptive Insights.

(iii)         The Contract planning capability will be successfully implemented when contract type/timing information can be dynamically exchanged between PLWE and the Institute's contract management software Coupa.

THE POSITION

Reporting to the Portfolio Management Office Lead (PMOL), the
Enterprise Project Management Systems Integration
Specialist (EPM-SIS) will plan and manage execution of three critical Planisware Enterprise (PLWE) systems integration projects:

The role will be to provide
strategic and operational management of projects management activities.  This will include supporting teams to develop and recommend
implementation strategies, timelines, budget and measurable milestones.  She or he will partner with the Planisware Seering Committee team to
proactively identify programmatic challenges and risks; and to propose plans to actions to
mitigate those risks. The individual contracted in this role will be expected to be flexible in the work that they to do; however, a summary of core responsibilities include the following:

Adds new users to both Test and Production environments

and
manages usage of user license types

Hosts training sessions

for new users

Becomes trained in Planisware Explorer (PEX) to
create & modify reports for technical team members and functions, as needed

Audits functional plans and IPPs for harmonization, logic and formatting consistency

. Helps to communicate any new learnings at technical meetings

Provides technical support

(troubleshooting, answering questions) to users of Planisware

Helps to
challenge any unmet requirements of Planisware during Phase 2 of implementation between soft and business go-live

Makes changes to toolbars and MRI-specific attributes (updating dropdown lists, creating new attributes, etc.)

Setting default parameters for different user profiles

Engages with functional team members

for Phase 2 resource inputs.

Helps organize training materials and perform training for Cost & Resource forecasting

in Planisware (post-business Go-Live)

Ensure
execution of functional plans along agreed
timelines, monitor sub-teams to
drive execution of plans against strategy. 

Manage day to day operations

of assigned projects.

Identify and manage critical path activities and the dependencies

between those activities.

Ensure adequate
entry and management of project status information into various
dashboard and tracking tools

Project Management Best Practices - Build and maintain tools, systems and processes

to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

Support the Portfolio Management Office Leader

in additional deliverables as assigned.

Manage communications with stakeholders

associated with assigned programs, including creating and distributing
meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and meeting schedules, as well as managing
SharePoint sites for external collaborators.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will be an innovative and collaborative individual who thrives in a get it done type of environment with a strong track record of hands on experience in successful project management with the following mix of personal and professional characteristics:

5+ years experience

with Planisware Enterprise software (not Planisware Orchestra)

8-10 years experience in the biopharmaceutical industry

with experience in supporting product development teams

Ability to manage Budget, Forecast to actuals

Formal project management training (PMP Preferred)

and
leadership training

reference for a mix of large and small
biotech and pharma experience

Clear and
effective communication skills

Strong diplomacy skills as well as executive presence

Ability to preemptively identify issues and risks as well as develop mitigation options

Strong interpersonal skills;
ability to influence others in a highly matrixed organization

Passionate, persistent and tenacious.  Strong ability to
prioritize and operate with a sense of urgency

Trustworthy with highest integrity, committed to ethics and scientific standards
