This is a Contract position in Lansing,Michigan (Hybrid) If you're interested in applying for this position please send me your updated resume Job Title: Data Center Network Design SME Job Location:Lansing , Michigan (Hybrid) Duration :- Contract Note :- Need Local's Job Description This project will require a candidate with five (5) or more years of experience in designing and implementing a Data Center Routing and Switching network solution and five (5) or more years of experience with Nexus/IOS Configuration. The candidate must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures specifically related to network design. The candidate must be able to independently perform a wide variety of complicated tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is required. Experience leading teams through large implementations is required. Work is performed in a Hybrid schedule with 2-days per week in-office and 3-days per week remote. This service engagement may be extended, as required by the SOM. Tasks/duties include, but not limited to: Research and design emerging technology strategies and provide technical, architectural and administrative oversight of the Data Center network design and implementation for state applications, staff, and constituents. Create and maintain the overall strategic and technical direction for the design, providing vision and guiding principles for the strategy and architecture of enterprise solutions, as well as consultation to project teams in the implementation and integration of network solutions. Design Data Center network architectures to achieve the business, functional, and performance requirements while adhering to architecture principles, standards, regulations, software development & project management methodologies and best practices. Consult with Customer Services application teams and business areas to assure a chosen technology meets system and application requirements as well as relevant existing licensing agreements and standards. Provide strategic and architectural support for the Data Center network infrastructure as a Subject Matter Expert.
