Job Responsibilities: Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required 2-4 years applicable experience required Experience with database technologies Knowledge of the ETL process Knowledge of at least one scripting language Strong written and oral communication skills Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills Demonstrated history of success Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions" Years of Experience Required They are looking for approximately 5-7+ years of experience in this role (working in support of government experience/projects and being familiar with deep research processes, techniques, and approaches). Scholarly research directives and familiarity with data science tools, software development, or passion for coding/software tools is very beneficial. Degrees or certifications required PHD is not required however the prior backfill has this. This is preferred but not required, experience may alleviate the requirement for making a PHD a mandatory requirement. Disqualifiers No Best vs. Average The best candidate would have experience with research/familiarity with government processes or supporting government projects. Familiarity with working on government projects or technical rigor. One who can demonstrate substance of experience and executing applied research projects if they have that experience (demonstrating self-sufficient or managing teams). Performance Indicators This is based on quality of work in terms of professional communications, ability to convey work products and artifacts that may be generated. Willingness to learn is also important and is a cultural element (growth mindset). 1. Data Science Rigor (proficiency in data science methodology/tools)| 5-7+ Years of Experience 2.
