The Lead Software Engineer is involved in the entire life-cycle development of projects from planning and analysis through implementation and support. They work with the Director, Digital Solutions to ensure that architecture and design of systems are sound. In this role, the position involves evaluating different technologies and implementation methods for our applications. If appropriate, they will provide guidance to other junior team members and consultants on the implementation of our architecture. In addition, they have the responsibility for managing the proper implementation of code they are deploying. RESPONSIBILITIES: Support and enhance the companys Supply Chain system Work with the Director, Digital Solutions to evaluate different technologies and review any architectural designs Gather requirements from the business segments as required. Work on User Stories and Tasks utilizing JIRA Work with the Director, Digital Solutions to ensure that code guidelines and architectural design are maintained. Assist in solving issues with RSIs existing systems as needed. Coordinate with internal RSI business departments on their information systems needs; coordinate with external departments when necessary (Burger King, Distributors, Suppliers, and other Integration Partners). Responsible for mentoring junior team members and consultants on the technical aspects of our architecture. OPEN Created December 2022 2 Keep current with relevant technologies including but not limited to Microsoft .NET (Angular, Entity Framework, Microservice development, various JavaScript libraries, Apache Superset, etc.). Keep current with cloud technology offerings and how to build systems using cloud services, specifically AWS Cloud Work as part of an Agile team participating in sprints, sprint planning, sprint grooming and sprint retrospectives. Participate in meetings that will help drive the next generation Supply Chain system that the company is embarking on. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: A four-year degree is required, preferably in Computer Science or Business Administration. Must have the following: .Net development, 5+ years (C#/VB.NET/ASP.NET/ADO.NET/Web API/WCF/Entity Framework) Web Development, 5+ years (JavaScript/RESTful Services/OData/KnockoutJS/ JQuery) Relational Database Management (preferably Microsoft SQL Server), 5+ years No-SQL Database Management (preferably Aurora/PostgreSQL), 2++ years Business analysis, 5+ years Experienced in enterprise class multi-layered web application. Experienced in designing, developing and supporting distributed enterprise web application. Advanced knowledge of object-oriented principals, designing patterns and enterprise systems. Understanding of MVVM/MVC/MVP patterns. Demonstrated experience working in Workflow --- Nintex, Power Automate, or Others --- related systems and applications Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft SharePoint as an Enterprise Portal for document management or integrated solutions Strong knowledge of developing, deploying and documenting API related applications platforms Experience working with third-party libraries (Telerik) strongly desired. Strong knowledge of web application security and securing the complete solution. Strong SQL experience Must be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must possess strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with demonstrated teamwork, time management and multi-tasking skills.
