Job id: HBITS-05-13030 Role : Database Administrator location: Albany, NY Duration: 30 Months Visa- Any valid working visa in USA. There is only 1 round with direct client NOTE = This is onsite job from day 1. Client will provide Hybrid work option. You have to go onsite 2/3 days in a week. Daily tasks will include: The individual will assist in the Installation, configuration, administration of MS SQL Server databases including high availability and disaster recovery configurations. They will also assist in Developing and implementing appropriate high availability and disaster recovery solutions. Perform regular backups and ensure recovery solutions are in place and regularly kept updated utilizing approved ITS/MSSQL team approved backup tools. Monitor performance of database servers, listeners, and other related processes, optimize performance of databases, tune applications, server resources CPU, memory, storage, network, etc. Ensure appropriate security protocols in line with ITS guidelines and known best practices are in place, patches are applied on all database environments. Perform capacity planning and storage space management. Create and maintain documentation for all major installation and implementation. Explore, actively support, and work on new technology initiatives, much beyond the database world that may be of interest to the Organization. Actively participate and contribute to troubleshooting and alleviating any issues MSSQL team may have. Actively take a lead in analyzing SQL database performance issues. Provide production support including off hour support and help with application debugging. Interact with database vendors for Support and resolution of issues. Database Administrator Uses specialized software to store and organize data, which may include capacity planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security and troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery. Expert 84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. 84 months of experience with installation, implementation, and support of SQL server 2008 and up. 84 months experience with SQL server support tools like SSMS, SQL analyzer and third-party tools. 84 months of experience in designing/installing and maintaining High Availability and Disaster Recovery Solution for SQL server on Windows Clustered environment. 84 months of experience in SQL Server Troubleshooting, debugging and Query analysis. 84 months experience implementing backup and recovery solutions for SQL server databases. 84 months experience designing, installing, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server SSIS/SSAS/SSRS Services including SSRS scaled-out deployment. 84 months experience in working with scripting tools like Power. 84 months experience working for a public sector agency and supporting Critical Public Safety Applications (e.g., agencies such as Division of Criminal Justice, Corrections, Homeland Security, or Police Dept's) hosted on a SQL Server database environment. 84 months experience in technical documentations and team presentation Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields Please submit copy of a degree/certifications E-mail is the best way to reach me, if I dont pick your call.
