Job Description:

Job Focus: Working as an IT Business Analyst in support of requirements elicitation and documentation to support an EMR system transition. Prior experience working as a business analyst for healthcare related IT initiatives and working with HL7 standards is preferred but not required. Prior experience with eChart or .NET is desired but not required.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborates with stakeholders from the business side to elicit and document requirements.

Anticipates the potential influence of new or modified software on existing standards and systems.

Identifies and suggests remedies for issues or areas of potential concern.

Chooses appropriate testing methodologies to assess the success of software updates and alterations.

Leads and moderates workgroups, teams, and meetings.

Establishes a positive atmosphere, evaluates group processes, and proposes alternatives or solutions.

Conducts audits and assessments of systems and practices to ensure compliance with procedures, regulations, and standards.

Reviews and inspects work for precision, quality, and comprehensiveness.

Offers recommendations for user-focused computer system improvements to better fulfill customer requirements.

Monitors and assesses the efficiency and quality of operations, programs, processes, or practices, proposing enhancements as necessary.

Identifies user needs and transforms them into business requirements.

Drafts organized documentation outlining objectives clearly and concisely.

Uses business knowledge to strategize and implement solutions for new requirements and enhancements.

Records tasks, solutions, and progress within the Jira tracking tool.

Adheres to project schedules and timelines. Notifies management of any potential deviations.

Utilizes DTS and agency-specific standards while defining and documenting business requirements.

Completes annual HIPAA training and integrates data protection standards and guidelines into work outputs.

Functions as an engaged member of the development team. Assumes responsibility for achieving team sprint objectives. Aligns individual tasks with group efforts.Communicates developments, challenges, and status updates with fellow team members.

Demonstrates a continuous learning mindset and actively enhances the skill set.

Required Experience/ Skills:

A minimum of 3-5 years of substantial and current proficiency in eliciting and documenting business and functional requirements.

Candidates with prior exposure to an agile development setting may be given special consideration.

While not mandatory, individuals with familiarity in HL7 standards might receive preferential treatment.

Possessing skills in SQL and testing tools would be advantageous.
