Heading into Functional Testing The Work walking in the door: will be doing lots of New Development.. Working on an Enterprise Application that is built in .Net. They will go through the modules they have built and work side by side with one of the leads and get them trained on the systems. Top Skills: Looking for ideally 6 years of hands-on Dev with PL/SQL, Oracle 12c/18/19c Data Design and Supporting transactional application development Background supporting .Net applications Good collaborative communication Primarily, they need someone who is really solid in PL/SQL, it would be really nice if that person also has the ability to solve problems, or understand explained problems and potential solutions. .Net is a bonus but certainly not a deal breaker, really the only slight need here is to be able to understand UI integration with DB and be able to talk with UI developers and understand what they need, no real need to understand their toolkit. OLTP vs ETL is not a big deal, if someone knows PL/SQL they can do either with a little mindset adjustment. PL/SQL really is the primary requirement. The problem is gauging who really has the ability, vs just having a keyword on the resume, and that really only comes out in an interview with someone who knows it. The ability to conceive solutions and design them would be a major win too.
