The successful candidate will manage projects with multiple teams and work streams, ensuring they are coordinated and delivered within aggressive schedules. Key Responsibilities: Serve as a hands-on technical project manager, collaborating with development staff and business groups. Coordinate and communicate with ITD management and staff to manage work tasks and resource allocation. Clearly communicate timelines and expectations to technical and business teams. Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors, including contract management and procurement. Adhere to VDOT and VITA project management practices and governance requirements. Maintain project budget, plans, tasks, schedules, risks, and status, and provide updates to team members and stakeholders. Facilitate design workshops, define test objectives, and design test plans and cases. Ensure project milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget. Define, measure, and communicate project progress using metrics. Support system and application training efforts. Qualifications: Required: Minimum of 8 years of experience managing large projects. Bachelor's degree. Experience in IT infrastructure delivery, including networking, physical plant, vendor management, and site provisioning. Experience managing large, multi-stream projects. PMP or qualified under Commonwealth of Virginia Qualification Standards for IT Project Managers for Category 4 Projects. Preferred: Experience in both Agile and Waterfall project management. Agile Scrum Master certification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Project Server). PMP certification from PMI or PM certification from VITA is required - no other certification qualifies. Minimum of 10 years of experience managing large projects .
