Create business cases to add/remove/change flow of traffic to 3rd parties and the impact to the business unit. Manage data traffic flows and recommend network changes as traffic profiles change. Requires prior traffic engineering and carrier experience as tech or SME for carrier agreements such as direct peering, bill-and-keep, interconnection, and IP transit. Engineering support role: root cause analysis, correlate telemetry, establish benchmarks, and provide insights. Carrier relationship manager or Interconnect Engineer. Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Math, Finance, Engineering). 4 + years Internet / Telecommunications network experience. Working knowledge of DNS and BGP; familiarity with virtualization & software-defined networking a plus. Correlate telemetry, establish benchmarks, and provide insights, transforming network operations to a highly proactive model.
