JOB DESCRIPTION

The role of the Data Warehouse Modeler is to develop, implement, and maintain enterprise Data Models in support of Client Data Strategy. 

The Data Warehouse Modeler, as part of the Data Standardization team, will be responsible for working collaboratively across Client Lines of Business and Functions to develop Data Models in support of Enterprise initiatives. The Data Warehouse Modeler will be responsible for partnering with Product, Business, Technology, Machine Learning, and other Client teams to support the development and integration of semantic technology into Client products and services. 

The Data Warehouse Modeler should be capable of supporting an emerging and evolving semantic program at Client, capable of clearly communicating and advocating the value of using semantic technology and knowledge organization concepts. 

Primary Responsibilities 

Develop, implement, and govern optimized data models in consultation with stakeholders in teams dedicated to improving data discoverability, search, and product development 

Contribute to data integration and mapping efforts to harmonize data with Client's upper and domain ontologies 

Communicate and advocate the value of Clients efforts in standardization across the business 

Partner with Product, Business, Technology, Machine Learning, and other Client teams to support the development and integration of semantics in Client products and services 

Analyze and implement knowledge organization strategies using tools capable of machine learning, ontology management, and semantic enrichment 

Develop standards, guidelines, and direction for data modeling, semantics and Data Standardization in general at Client 

Test/troubleshoot new or updated models and systems 

Manage and oversee other projects as assigned by Product Owners and Supervisors

 Basic Qualifications 

Bachelors degree in information science, computer science, engineering 

At least 2 years experience in a metadata field of work or a masters degree in information science, computer science, engineering, library science, ontology, semantics or computational linguistics
Not Mandatory 

At least 3 years hands-on experience in Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical and Physical) 

At least 3 years of experience in Entity Modeling tools (Erwin, ERStudio, Hackolade, Power Designer, Enterprise Architect etc) 

At least 2 years experience or training with SQL or SPARQL
