Mainframe Programmer
(z/VM and REXX exp.)

Location :-
Fully Remote

Duration :- 12 months contract

Interview :- Video

Visa :-  USC/GC only

Note: Candidate must have Experience with z/VM and REXX

Job Details :-

Our client, a leading Government Systems Integrator, needs a z/VM - Mainframe System Programmer with strong z/VM and REXX experience for an initial 12-month remote contract. The Systems Engineer will be supporting an enterprise contract within our customers Treasury portfolio. They will be responsible for supporting z/VM in development, test and production environments.

Required Skills:

Must have at least 4 6 years of experience with a Bachelors degree.

Experience supporting and troubleshooting z/VM environments

Experience with REXX scripting.
PIPES experience, including Princeton extensions / enhancements and the PIPE SQL stage.
Experience with z/VWS, specifically the VM HTTP server from Velocity Software formally known as ESAWEB and HTML, JS, CSS, zVWS CGI calls.
Experience programming custom disconnected Service Virtual machines using TOOLSRUN or any custom developed process.

Preferred or Nice to Have Skills:
DB2 DBA experience, preferably DB2 Server for VM, including DB2 Control
Experience with Visualage Generator / Cross System Products.
Experience with SLK for XML.
Experience with IBM VM Batch Facility.
COBOL experience.
