The focus of this position is to work closely with the Oil & Gas Division of ODNR to gain in-depth understanding of their business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the context in which the division operates. This role will be key to understanding the documenting capabilities needed to address the divisions challenges. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency. This candidate should be able to handle multiple projects and one time and be adept at multi-tasking. This Business Analyst position will ensure what is delivered in Salesforce (or any other technology supporting the Oil & Gas Division) meets the Chiefs expectations. The candidate in this position needs to be an excellent communicator and speak fluent Business and IT and be able to gather requirements from the business then convey to the developers what is being asked before it gets created. This is a critical position for the success of the project team. Job Duties Gathers & analyzes information needs & functional requirements from stakeholders (internal or external), business product Owners (PO) & management for implementation of information technology solutions Analyzes user needs on existing legacy &/or new systems to document business requirements &/or interface designs for the developer to estimate effort Ability to provide consistent evaluation of a system and make recommendation for improvements Ability to create process flows &/or flowcharts to convey designs that can be implemented by a developer Ability to use reporting systems (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, etc.) to create reports or dashboards to support the business needs Analyzes, reviews, & recommends possible solutions to identified business problems through the implementation of technical solutions Ability to use a requirements base system (e.g., Azure Dev/Ops, Jira, etc.) to capture and collaborate with IT and Business Ability to lead multiple small Agile/SCRUM team in the Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, & Backlog Refinement Performs validation of solutions by analyzing the product & the requirements specifications Performs as liaison between various stakeholders, managing stakeholder expectations & ensuring successful communications between project team members and the IT Project Manager Ability to lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and create the necessary artifacts to perform UAT.
