Infrastructure monitoring, logging & alerting with Prometheus/Grafana/Splunk. Performance tuning of Hadoop clusters and Hadoop workloads and capacity planning 8-12 years of Total experience with at least 5 years of work experience in developing, maintaining, optimization, issue resolution of Hadoop clusters, supporting Business users. Experience in Linux / Unix OS Services, Administration, , awk scripting Strong knowledge of anyone programming language Python/Scala/Java/R with Debugging skills. Experience in Hadoop (Map Reduce, Hive, Pig, Spark, Kafka, HBase, HDFS, H-catalog, Zookeeper and Oozie/Airflow) Experience in Hadoop security (Kerberos, Knox, TLS). Hands-on Experience in SQL and No SQL Databases (HBASE) with performance optimization. Responsibilities Partner with leadership within the data and commercial team to establish and deliver the vision for the FOX data platform Manage and mentor a data engineers and analysts team to develop and deploy B.I. analytics and data engineering solutions Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the group Help create an environment for continuous development by putting in processes for handover between U.S. and Bangalore Be a mentor to the team to help them understand the media domain, relate it to the business and data strategy decision, and break down complex data and technology concepts Build a nimble but robust support practice that can handle a range of production issues, improve operational processes through automation, and find better workflows for deployment Define the operating model and help support new work streams from data products, data science, applied insights, and other data teams Establish a robust data quality discipline and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations Focus on hiring in the growth year by identifying candidates with the technical expertise required for the roles and demonstrating strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities. Required Skills: Technology or related experience is required Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field Experience in data strategy, building data teams with a focus on B.I. and Data engineering in a dynamic, digital-focused environment Built teams in Offshore for companies based in the U.S. with a presence of 1000+ employees Technical Knowledge: Extensive experience in B.I. analytics, data engineering, and data management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects Strong understanding of modern data platforms and designs - data warehouse, data lake, lake house, data mesh, etc. Proficiency in SQL and experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
