Basic Qualifications

A. Lead the design and development of
a Policy

as
Code (PaC)
capability

B. Document and maintain guidance on PaC
architecture/integrations, policy development, usage, and deployment.
Document guidelines for secure usage of approved AWS services aligned to
standards and policies, and a plan for preventing usage of unapproved services,
and approval process for new services.

C. Plan and implement centralized agent pool for developer pipelines to
standardize deployments with applied Policy as Code

D. Implement policy framework aligned to governance requirements
(e.g., tags, security, baselines, financial, Terraform IaC, etc.) including
Terraform modules.

E. Implement configuration drift enforcement via Ansible and other
configuration management tools

Focus Areas:

-Implement Policy as Code as part of cloud
shared services governance framework

-Terraform for enterprise Infra as Code (alternative IaC tooling
ok if at enterprise level)

-Ansible for automation (ok without if strong enough with TF)

-Will be questions about setting up CI/CD pipelines but more to understand if
they've built guardrails or just operated within preexisting

-Kubernetes a big bonus--not in environment now, but will be project work to
implement it down the line

-AWS Solutions Architect cert will help ID candidates with broader/enterprise
approach to cloud

-Azure still just nice to have

Essential
Duties and Responsibilities

Develop code
and
scripts to automate and streamline CloudOps workflows in AWS and Azure

Build and maintain library of secure and compliant Infrastructure as

Code in Terraform and golden machine images for
consumption by application developers

Support stakeholder community and users of cloud platforms, perform incident
response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

Develop automated remediation capabilities to detect and resolve incidents
proactively

Adhere to proper change control processes, and leverage GitOps workflows to
manage changes

Develop and monitor operational, health status, and compliance dashboards;
proactively resolve concerns before they become incidents

Implement event-driven automations on cloud-native tooling (e.g. Lambda, Step,
etc.) to respond to incidents

Collaborate with teams reviewing design and test plans to ensure operational
readiness and alignment to standards, determine potential gaps, and alternative
solutions.

Fulfill incoming requests and resolve incidents for cloud services

Look for and recommend cost optimization opportunities

Build and maintain tracking dashboards for various metrics (e.g. compliance
scores, cost optimizations, invoicing, etc.)

Provide PL Cloud Leadership monthly reports on activities, trends, and concerns

Develop documentation and keep wiki updated; attend and lead periodic training
sessions to help teach others on cloud platform usage

Minimum
Qualifications & Experience

BS in Computer Science and/or Engineering, or equivalent experience and
certifications

2+ years of experience in an applicable cloud, infrastructure, or software
engineering role

2+ years of hands-on experience deploying code
in a CI/CD toolchain using gitops
workflows

2+ years of demonstrable hands-on experience writing Infrastructure as

Code in a DSC
such
as Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar

Adept in at least one programming language such as
Python, Java, or Node.JS.

Experience with bash or Power

Experience working as
part of a Scrum or Agile team

Effective communicator with the ability to interact with a wide variety of
stakeholders

Preferred: Adept at the command-line interface to at least one major
cloud service, preferably AWS CLI

Preferred: Experience writing Terraform

Preferred: AWS or Azure Certifications
