Assignments are very broad in nature and of the highest level of complexity. Conducts data analysis, needs assessments, and cost/benefit analysis in order to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. May develop or modify information systems. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements and revising existing systems. Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment. May instruct, guide, and oversee work of lower-level technical professionals. Consults and makes recommendations to management on significant issues. Responsible for developing and implementing new products and/or approaches in conjunction with implementing new/existing technologies.
