Ideal candidate has Cognos and Tableau experience. Candidates should be on LinkedIn. This is an analyst role not a development role. The Business Systems Analyst BI, is the key interface with our business customers to understand all the BI reporting, KPI and metrics need of our business, analyze those needs to appropriate data elements in our various information systems to maximize the effective use of data for business. The BSA role will become SME in both our business processes and operational definitions related to data in IT systems that support one or more related business functions. The scope of the role includes working with key business stakeholders to interpret business needs for BI reports/dashboards, translate them into actionable requirements that clearly articulate data elements to be used from each of IT systems and all the transformation that needs to be done on data, participate in design activities for BI reports/dashboards, develop test scenarios and participate in testing and implementation activities including training, and providing post-implementation support. Essential Functions & Accountabilities: Is a key team member on the Global BI team representing the needs of various business disciplines. Works with key business stakeholders to interpret business needs for BI reports/dashboards. Works with data architects & engineers to Client what data is already available in EDW and what additional data needs to be brought into EDW from other IT systems to support business needs. Creates functional specification documents that clearly articulate all the data transformation business rules as well as wire frame for Reports/Dashboards with all the necessary filters and grouping. Becomes the change agent and drives business to leverage more KPI & visual oriented Reports/Dashboards rather than traditional row/column repots Develops effective test scenarios, scripts and use cases with consideration to cross functional and process stream impact. Analyzes formal test results in order to Client and resolve defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws. Help support small projects and/or tasks of large projects. Support Sr BSA or PM for coordinating activities of teams, schedules and resources for assigned tasks or projects. Carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet quality, organization standards and end user requirements. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent Knowledge of the business enterprise functions and processes, especially those in the ERP space. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to adapt to a fast and dynamic environment. Ability to effectively translate between business and technical teams Ability to follow procedures and produce/maintain supporting documentation. Resolves simple to complex problems in creative ways. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent time management Highly self-motivated, ability to complete work tasks with little direction, and attentive to detail. Ability to effectively prioritize or ask for priority to execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Ability to produce exceptional quality output. Ability to suggest technological solutions. Ability to communicate effectively with senior management Adapts readily to changes in workload, staffing and scheduling. Work Environment: Normal office environment. Sedentary to light physical effort necessary to perform the job. Extensive contact with employees and external business partners and vendors. Experience: BSA: Minimum of 4 years' experience in Business Intelligence reporting related to ERPs Experience with Oracle EBS is a plus Proficient in at least 1 of market leading BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc) Experience with SQL & Data warehousing concepts is a plus Experience with prepackaged analytics tool like Noetix/OBIA is a plus Commensurate Technical experience to perform the job duties. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Education: Bachelors of Science Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience is required.
