Notes He mentioned key experience would be someone who has been involved in build outs before (can be for a data center, branch, etc.) This engineer would be working closely with our real estate team on building new branches. Working with vendors and circuit vendors Attending real estate calls related to branch locations. Strong communication skills are key. This person needs to be very hands on as they will be configuring routers and switches. Must have experience with Cisco Meraki The person should know how to build a new branch location and what goes into it. What equipment to select based on standards, knowledge of rack/stack, rack elevations, HVAC requirements based on heat dissipation etc. etc. Router and Switch Configuration (MUST HAVE Cisco Meraki) MUST have experience with Rack and Stack, Rack Elevations How to build out new locations Qualifications Must have 7+ years of proven network engineering experience designing and deploying large-scale multi-vendor enterprise networks and project delivery Advanced understanding of network hardware, software, protocols, and technologies Strong hands-on experience and deep understanding with Routing, Switching, SD-WAN, Wireless and network segmentation. Familiarity with network monitoring, management, and troubleshooting tools Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent experience Network Automation (Ansible, Python, etc.) a plus. Sharp troubleshooting faculties, deductive reasoning, and careful attention to detail. Independent and self-directed work ethic when participating in a collaborative environment. Strong communication skills both verbal and written to develop technical documentation Excellent communication skills; ability to perform under pressure and detail oriented Dedicated commitment to service availability and quality user experience. Must be results driven with a strong sense of urgency Responsibilities Creates and maintains documentation related to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records. Responsible for design, installation, and maintenance of all network devices within the network. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop consensus, drive results, and execute projects across the organization on time and within budget Manage several simultaneous projects from conception through implementation Develop and maintain standards and designs for Branch infrastructure with the Architecture team. Works with internal and external resources to coordinate procurement of network equipment from quote to delivery. Work closely with senior management, network architecture, network engineering and operations teams. Participates in change review process and occasional after hours change implementations. Enhances efficiency via automation when and wherever possible. Act as an escalation engineer for high severity network related production issues, work with engineers and various vendors to identify tactical and strategic solutions.
