Job Title Project Manager III Location Madison (Hybrid) WI Duration 12 months /Contract JOB DESCRIPTION USC/GCHybrid, Person has to be in WI.Role Designs, plans, and coordinates work teams. Follows standard project management industrypractices such as the PMI's framework and has experience with the project development lifecycle process (i.e. planning, analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, support). Understands business and technical objectives of a project and works closely with projectsponsor. Creates project charter and work plan and tracks budget and schedule progress viaappropriate metrics. Establishes project organization and methodologies and defines rolesand responsibilities. Gathers and documents business requirements with the team.Documents risks and develops mitigation plans. Manages scope. Creates and implements a communication plan. Coordinates communication between thedevelopment team, technical support staff, business area experts, vendors and third-partytechnology providers, business and IT management, external agencies and otherstakeholders as needed. Builds an effective team, assigns tasks to team members, andevaluates outcomes. Negotiates resources. Communicates to stakeholders and projectsponsor. Identifies, tracks, and ensures resolution of issues and removal of barriers. Providestechnical support to project team members. Handles complex application features andtechnical designs. Designs and implements the components required for complex applicationfeatures. Generally, manages a group of applications systems analysts. Relies on experienceand judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Professional certification is highly desirable.Project Manager capabilities with 11 or more years of experience. Capable of managing aproject with up to ten (10) or more staff and/or a project with multiple subprojects.Knowledge of relational data base concepts (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server) if a plusRequired Skills 11 years IT Experience with at least 8 years of Project Management Experience. Project Management experience managing or leading an IT technical team of up to 10 ormore staff. Business Analysis skills such as requirements gathering, documentation and analyzingbusiness requirements. Experience tracking project status, milestone and managing risks, including project plandevelopment, resource planning and management. Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to present information and ideasto various audiences including developers, management, and stakeholders. Application development experience includes requirements gathering, design, coding,testing, implementation, and support.Desired Skills Experience working with Java, Spring Boot, Oracle, DB2, GIS, JavaScript, and/or HTML. Experience partnering with business clients to formulate solutions using modern tools(DevOps) that support their business and technical strategies and goals. Knowledge of relational database concepts (DB2, Oracle) if a plus.
