Job Details: As the Business Analyst, your primary focus will be on documenting various business processes within our organization. You will have a significant role in documenting the claims processes, ensuring that we have clear and well-structured guidelines to optimize our operations. This will play a vital role in enhancing efficiency, reducing risks, and supporting strategic decision-making. Your expertise in the specialty insurance and reinsurance industry, combined with your keen eye for detail, will enable you to identify areas for process improvement and drive initiatives to streamline workflows. Your contribution will directly impact the overall success of our claims service and underwriting process, further solidifying Ascot Group's position as an industry leader. There is no preferred location for this role, allowing you to work from the comfort of your preferred setting while collaborating with a diverse and dynamic team. Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs related to claims processes. Analyze and document existing business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Work closely with the Guidewire ClaimCenter system, leveraging its functionalities to enhance claims processing efficiency. Develop comprehensive business process documentation, including workflow diagrams, user stories, and business requirement specifications. Facilitate meetings and workshops with relevant teams to gather insights and ensure alignment on process improvements. Collaborate with IT teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and assist in the testing and implementation phases. Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of implemented improvements, making adjustments as necessary. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in specialty insurance and reinsurance to contribute fresh ideas and approaches. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the insurance or reinsurance industry. Strong knowledge of specialty insurance and reinsurance processes. Familiarity with Guidewire ClaimCenter or similar claims management systems. Proficiency in process documentation and workflow analysis. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal. High level of adaptability and the ability to thrive in a remote work environment. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to engage with cross-functional teams.
