Role: Network Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA (fully Onsite) Local Only Must Have local to GA DL Card

Duration: 12 months+

Visa: No H1/CPT

Interview: Phone/Skype

Job Description:

The Clients is soliciting resumes for a full-time contract position as a Senior Data Network Engineer to be engaged in the support of a large enterprise network in our
IT Network Operations Center. This is a 24/7 operations center with rotating shifts every two months in an office environment with minimal remote working.

Experience Required:

9-10 years hands-on experience

Configuring and supporting network equipment including routers and LAN switches, 802.11 Access Points, firewalls (Cisco hardware experience preferred)

Troubleshooting MPLS WAN, Multicast, HSRP, VRRP, AAA, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, QoS, T1/DS1, TCP/IP, VLANs.

DNS, DHCP, using SSH to connect to equipment.

Network Management Systems such as Microfocus NNMI, NetScout, FortiNet (Bradford) NAC, Infoblox.

Skills Required:

Software-defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN)

Familiarity with Cisco router/switch/security network management products and platforms.

Experience using network tools such as NetScout and HP Network Node Manager.

Experience in originating, tracking, and escalating trouble tickets with telecom service providers and hardware support vendors

Excellent time management and issue follow-up skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to perform in a team environment with self-motivation and a good work ethic.

Other Skills Preferred:

CCNA certification - preferred but not required.

Cellular broadband/M2M technologies.

HPe/Aruba Networks Wireless APs

Prior Help Desk experience

Linux/AIX Windows

The successful candidate will be become a member of The Clients IT Operations Center. Primary responsibility will be the day-to-day support of the enterprise WAN/LAN
that provides connectivity for internal business applications, VoIP/PBX, and operations technologies. The candidate will be expected to analyze complicated systems, and assure high levels of stability, reliability, and availability, consistent with prescribed
change control policies and established procedures.
