This role involves active participation in a high-profile web application project aimed at modernizing legacy mainframe applications into .NET MVC and .NET 6 web applications. The successful candidates will work collaboratively within an existing team and contribute to various aspects of the project's development life cycle. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the team to design and develop front-end and server-side components of web applications. Participate in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and interactive code reviews. Utilize JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC with C#, SQL Server, DB2, and Oracle databases in development. Uphold quality code standards through Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices. Contribute to technical documentation, provide expertise sharing, and ensure transparent communication. Provide production support as required. Required Skills: Proficient in writing custom SQL queries. Strong experience with .NET MVC and C#. Full-stack development capabilities. Desired Skills: Familiarity with automated testing methodologies and continuous integration platforms such as GitLab or Jenkins. Solid coding experience using TDD (Test-Driven Development). Knowledge of DCF programs and prior experience with the Wisconsin CARES system. Familiarity with State of Wisconsin application systems, procedures, and development standards. Familiarity with the DCF Young Star application is a plus.
