The feedback was he was too technical, couldnt look at the bigger picture or communicate well on the business side. Technical knowledge will be key here, but they need to be able to speak to the business as well. Additional Notes: 80% of this role will be communicating with a group, lead a conversation with individual/team to understand and gather requirements. This will be specific for the Data Hub project, which is the BI/Reporting team, so Aswanis team. He/She will be talking to a BI person/team to understands their data, data flows, be able to capture and document their functional requirements. Such as: What are the data functional requirements to input into their current report And any other functionality for reporting Ability to read a report of SQL and/or Excel pivot tables (nice to have) The current architecture is MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS and LogiXML. This effort has been underway for the past year with Phase 1 now complete. They are in Phase 2 currently, moving the BI reports (in Tableau) and customized internal applications as well as HEDIS and Quality data and applications into Snowflake and Azure. Responsibilities Collects, defines and documents both business and technical requirements to move BI reports, custom applications, HEDIS and Quality applications and data to Azure cloud. Strong business acumen to ask the right questions and document requirements of business stakeholders, bringing your strong BI and data analytics understanding and experience Read and understand data profiling/data quality reports and data models. This person is not expected to run their own queries, but must be able to read SQL). Organizes tasks, timelines, and delivery schedules, providing weekly status reports recapping project progress, issues, risks, and costs. Coordinates resource requirements to ensure that appropriate business and technical staff are available. Required 5+ years of experience as a Sr. Business Analyst in a data centric environment (DW consolidation project preferred, but at least Data Warehouse experience) Experience in report development; defining and documenting requirements Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices, specifically with SQL Server including SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL Ability to understand concepts governing relational databases structures; use reporting / query tools, and construct SQL statements.
