They will also be doing debugging in addition to testing Must have Embedded experience UAT testing exp is key Python experience is a plus We are searching for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Power Solutions Platform team on a fixed-term contract. You will be responsible for defining and implementing testability features and white box tests within our power electronics control systems. Your changes will enable robust testing techniques within our next generation battery electric storage systems. This is a three-month contract/ remote role with possibilities of extension. Candidates who are local in Irvine area can choose remote hybrid at our Irvine, California HQ. Required Skills and Experience: Experience developing and releasing production-quality embedded software. Solid proficiency in C/C++, ideally in a resource-constrained, real-time operating system. Experience testing and debugging on MCU core architectures such as ARM Cortex. Familiarity with serial interfaces such as UART, SPI, and I2C. Familiarity with communication buses and networks such as CAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and Modbus. Proficiency in Python and experience with automated test frameworks. 3+ years in an embedded software role. Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience developing firmware for safety-critical applications. Experience with STM32 and MicroBlaze. Ability to communicate technical concepts, document decisions and designs, and create test plans.
