You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing vulnerabilities in our infrastructure and applications to proactively safeguard against potential threats and attacks. Your expertise will be pivotal in minimizing risks and ensuring our systems remain resilient against cyber threats. Responsibilities: Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments using various tools and techniques to identify potential weaknesses in our network, systems, and applications. Penetration Testing: Perform penetration tests to simulate real-world attack scenarios and identify potential entry points for malicious actors. Threat Analysis: Analyze security incidents and breaches to understand the nature of the threats and vulnerabilities exploited. Remediation Recommendations: Collaborate with IT teams and system administrators to prioritize and recommend remediation actions based on the severity of vulnerabilities discovered. Vulnerability Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive vulnerability management program, including tracking and reporting on the status of vulnerabilities. Security Patching: Ensure timely application of security patches and updates for software, hardware, and firmware. Security Awareness: Promote security awareness among employees through training and communication to foster a security-conscious culture. Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques, and provide timely insights to relevant stakeholders. Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and internal security policies. Incident Response: Assist in incident response activities when security incidents occur, providing expertise and guidance to resolve issues effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience in vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, or a similar security role. Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001) and vulnerability management tools. Familiarity with common security testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Nmap, Burp Suite, Metasploit). Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and application security. Familiarity with cloud security concepts and technologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) would be a plus.
