Visa- USC/GC Only

Location- Remote - NYC,NY (Must be willing to report to the office 2-3 time/month.  Ideally should be local to NYC - or on the east coast)

MUST have strong AAD, Always on VPN, Expert Power scripting and automation (writing scripts to integrate workday with active directory)

Senior Systems Consultant/Senior Systems Engineer 

Job Profile Summary: 

Energetic and self-motivated individual to supplement our IT infrastructure team. This position will be responsible for providing a high level of responsive, operational support of end users and other IT teams and work on projects. 

Primary Responsibilities

Design and Implementation: Design, deploy, and maintain company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, virtualization, and cloud platforms.

System Administration: Administer and monitor servers, operating systems, and network devices to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.

Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide technical support to end-users and other IT teams.

Security and Data Protection: Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's infrastructure and data, including access controls, endpoint protection, backups, and disaster recovery plans.

Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, conduct capacity planning, and recommend infrastructure upgrades or enhancements to meet evolving needs.

Documentation: Create and update technical documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure components and support business objectives.

Stay Current: Keep abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to IT infrastructure, and make recommendations for their adoption.

Education: 

A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft MCSE, MCSA, or Azure is desirable.

Work Experience :

Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in managing and  supporting Microsoft systems, particularly in enterprise environments. Experience with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Azure, Strong Power scripting, SSO applications, Always On VPN, Certificate Services, RRAS servers, and NPS servers is essential.

A deep understanding of Active Directory design, implementation, and administration, including user and group management, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), trust relationships, and LDAP integration is required.

Experience in managing Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Domain Name System (DNS) services, including IP address allocation, DNS zone management, DNS resolution, and troubleshooting.

Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, such as Azure AD SSO, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), or other identity and access management solutions, is important.

A deep understanding of Microsoft Azure services and solutions is crucial. Experience with Azure Active Directory, Azure virtual networks, virtual machines, Azure AD Connect, Azure Landing Zones and Azure resource management

Proficiency in Power scripting, including Graph Power, is essential for automating tasks, managing Microsoft systems, and performing administrative tasks efficiently.

Knowledge of Microsoft Always On VPN, a remote access solution, is necessary. The candidate should understand its configuration, troubleshooting, and security aspects.

Familiarity with Remote Access Services (RAS)servers, such as Windows Server Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS), and Network Policy Server (NPS) for authentication and authorization is important.

Networking Knowledge: General understanding of network devices (routers, switches, and firewalls), VPN, WAN/LAN, and network security protocols.

Problem-solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues.

Understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancing, and VPNs in both AWS and Azure.

Familiarity with other cloud computing like AWS EC2, S3, VPC, RDS besides Azure VMs, Blob Storage, Virtual Networks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, etc.

Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members, end-users, and stakeholders, and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
