Role: AZURE SYSTEMS ENGINEER Location: Remote (Local to Illinois or Wisconsin) Duration: 6 Months C2H Job Description: Must have extensive Systems Engineering knowledge including: VM Ware On Premises Data Centres Active Directory AZURE EXPERIENCE is absolutely required AWS experience will not be accepted MUST have LED a migration of on-prem servers to Azure cloud The team of engineers the client currently has does not know Azure that well so this person will be the SME PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Leading and Developing Talent: May partner with coworkers to advance their development. Project and Change Management: May serve as a team member, or subject matter expert, for formal or department projects. Contributes ideas and helps develop solutions, while balancing demands of project work and routine job responsibilities. Engages effectively in change affecting her/him, communicating appropriately with supervisor. Follows through on learning, skill building, and practice necessary to adapt to change. Problem Solving: Light supervision; works independently. Periodic review of work by manager or direct customer. Researches, analyses, and evaluates situations and reports on findings. Solves advanced problems. Technical Skill: Advanced knowledge of professional principles and skills. Comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization. Community Engagement: Champions Goodwills community engagement initiatives. Plan, and implement server infrastructure and cloud technology stack Coordinate technical reviews with vendors and engineering staff in performing system modeling, capacity planning, system performance, manageability and scalability Translates business requirements into code and documentation while managing the life-cycle and communication for assigned projects. Responsible for ensuring cloud security, cloud monitoring, and disaster recovery of cloud deployments. Plans, prioritizes, and manages projects; prioritizes tasks to ensure that the teams overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met. Conducts performance tuning, problem resolution, storage administration, security administration, capacity planning, policy administration, change management, disaster recovery, backups, and systems analysis. Troubleshoots Active Directory (AD) and Azure Active Directory (AAD) Test and deploy Windows Updates and remediation efforts Stays informed of emerging cloud technologies and evaluates the value to the organizations operations. Maintain and standardize firmware deployments for all infrastructure hardware Automate our operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with our security requirements. Design, implement and maintain IAAS, PAAS and SAAS solutions. Act as Tier 3 or 4 Support, including On-Call responsibilities. Responsible for all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree or experience equivalency, and a minimum of 4 years experience.
