Position: Systems Administrator Location: Bronx, NY Hybrid from Day 1 6+ months No H1B/CPT Phone/Skype Candidates should be from NY/NJ or nearby states Must have a valid drivers license and a car to travel to different Con Edison sites Gas/Energy/Electric/Utilities industry experience Responsibilities: Build, manage and monitor VMware virtualization environment, creating Windows Servers, and presenting network and storage resources. Build, patch, monitor and troubleshoot Windows Servers. Experience with clusters and shared clustered file systems, High Availability at server and application level. Maintain backup infrastructure and perform day to day backup operations and backup / recovery exercises Work with corporate infrastructure groups to troubleshoot connectivity issues with network switches, routers and firewalls. Configure Active Directory groups and GPO Create and maintain system documentation. Build and support cyber security tools including IDS, Antivirus, Tanium, or logging Build, patch, monitor and troubleshoot Windows Servers Maintained user, group, and computer accounts for an enterprise network AD. Configured Group Policy Objects to create a secure Windows infrastructure. Required Experience: Infrastructure and System Administrator with at least 8 years' experience in IT, with a primary focus on Windows Server, Active Directory and VMware Installation and Administration. Enterprise level infrastructure and system administrator with at least 8 years' experience in IT, with a primary focus on Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware and Storage Senior experience with design, deployment and administration of VMware virtual environments. Familiarity with Power, and ability write custom scripts to automate system management tasks. Experience building and maintaining Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for patch management, software distribution, operating system deployment and hardware and software inventory. Skills: Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to plan, organize and run meetings and give presentations to all levels of management. Must be able to develop documentation that will be consumed by users of diverse backgrounds and skills. Ability to drive change; make recommendations for new products and process enhancements. Ability to multitask and switch priorities as the business warrants. Qualifications: The following would be considered as a valuable assets: Knowledge of fiber channel and/or ISCSI Storage Arrays Microsoft certification preferred, MSCA Windows server 2012 or 2016. Power Scripting experience Networking Experience Knowledge and experience with one or more of the following tools: Tanium, Splunk, Trend Micro, SCCM, WSUS, SolarWinds General knowledge of and familiarity with cyber security regulations including NIST, NERC CIP and TSA Security Directives NOTE: I may miss your call, but I never miss to reply to you.
