Location: Hazelwood. MO Wednesday & Friday remote. Need to be in area by time the role starts

Medical Device Experience

Research and Development Engineering is responsible for developing and implementing new products and performing sustaining activities for commercially available products. These responsibilities are done through adherence to established design control procedures and good engineering and documentation practices.

Key Responsibilities

Software Design, Developing and debugging for electro-mechanical medical devices.
Developing required documentation, design history files for the electro-mechanical devices.
Supervising junior members of the team including contractors in developing those devices.
Manage 3rd party contract development of medical devices.

Skills:

Software development in a real time operating system environment.
Software development for mechatronic systems.
C, C++, Python.
Experience working in a medical environment to the ISO 13485 standard.

Knowledge of IEC 62304 Medical Device Software Standard and the application of Risk Management per ISO 14971.

Education:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in related field preferred (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering.)
A minimum of 6+ years related work experience preferred

Aptitude to contribute to strategic goal-setting for department/business unit.
