This department manages the core accounting platform and data warehouse. The platform is used by clients globally and is the first true straight-through, proprietary front-to-back solution for hedge funds that uses a single database for all activities including order capture, position and P&L reporting and accounting. This consulting position reports to the Development Lead under the Hedge Fund Accounting IT (HFAIT) department. Your Role: As Postgres Developer Consultant, you will be working as part of a cross-functional product team and will be responsible for implementing RDS Postgres databases for our proprietary accounting system. You will be part of a culture of innovation where youll use AWS services to help the team solve business challenges such as rapidly releasing products/services to the market. You will design and implement Postgres databases. Database design and configuration Database performance tuning and scaling Troubleshoot performance issues at both configuration and code levels Contribute in the architecting of HA and DR solutions Implement logging and monitoring solutions Fleet management and automation About You: You have 5+ years of professional hands-on database development and or database administration. 2+ years of Postgres experience (AWS RDS/Aurora experience preferred) 1 year of AWS RDS and DMS experience Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of RDBMS tuning Advanced knowledge in PL/pgSQL, SQL troubleshooting and tuning Solid understanding and demonstrated proficiency with core software development processes debugging, code tuning, code management and branching, coding styles and refactoring Good proficiency in improving performance and reliability of production databases Hands-on skills operating in Linux and Windows Working knowledge of application architecture, networking, security, reliability and scalability concepts Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the following competencies: creativity, technical analysis, problem solving, communication, multitasking and client service Must be self-motivated and driven Strong ability to work with in-house resources and vendors Keywords: information technology procedural language Florida North Carolina http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=353651&uid= |
