This includes working with a team to define and prioritize requirements, develop prototypes and programs, define and execute unit and integration tests, resolve defects, define and execute an implementation plan, and provide second tier support. Accountabilities/Responsibilities Takes ownership of, and is able to perform routine and newly assigned work autonomously, and make decisions that are in line with organization guidelines regarding more complex issues without seeking prior approval from leadership. Seeks guidance from peers and/or leadership approval for extenuating circumstances. Analyzes systems, applications, processes, and business requirements to assist creating technical requirements. Determines the parameters of required programming and other technical needs, while encouraging code reusability, adherence to established organizational standards and best practices. Confer with teammates, users, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders, as needed, to secure all hardware, software, database, networking, and/or other technical needs for designed solutions. Act as a technical lead on a project, providing direction to other developers, when necessary. Creates and/or modifies technical designs, programs, prototypes, and documentation that meet all of the established standards and successfully passes all levels of testing to satisfy the requirements of the designed solution, within deadlines, and among the highest quality of the team. Effectively communicates, in oral and/or written form, and regularly updates task and project statuses using required project management tools. Assumes ownership and becomes a subject matter expert or administrator of multiple major systems, platforms, or functional areas of expertise, ensuring the proper training of others, and sharing of all relevant information to the rest of the team. Assumes leadership role, mentoring and developing more junior staff to organizational standards and guidelines. Actively participates in standards and best practices creation, review, and enforcement. Participates in software demonstrations, build vs buy discussions, and other influential conversations that affect the long term technology stack and processes for all of IT, as needed. Effectively influences coworkers and leadership, in a constructive manner, to achieve buy-in on new or modified standards, best practices, initiatives, decisions, processes, or technical direction. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Experience Required Qualifications Associate or Bachelors degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience. Demonstrates ability to work with problems of various scope and advanced complexity where analysis of the situation or data requires a choice of learned factors which generally conform to established patterns. Proficiency with multiple relevant programming languages and the software development life cycle. Proficiency with Waterfall and Agile methodologies, as well as best judgment and reasoning for when to use each. Advanced specialized knowledge and experience in several ERP software functions (Order Processing, Sales Quotes, Inventory Management, Purchase Orders, Accounts Receivable, Credit Management, etc).
