The solution architect is a pivotal role to address minor to complex issues where thorough analysis, assessment and thought are required in terms the business and information technology can understand. Job Qualifications Required Must be able to work in a capacity of value based, outcome driven activities. Must have demonstrated experience participating in, interacting with, and improving an architecture practice. Must have demonstrated experience and be able to work occasionally in ambiguous situations, requiring minimal direction, receives guidance where and when needed, communicates often about current situation. Must have demonstrated experience translating business needs into business capability and technical solutions, provide and develop insight into full stack technological needs along with current state. Must have demonstrated experience performing technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Must participate in the organizations strategy providing insight related to life cycle, modernization, health and performance of application and systems related to business capabilities and the value chain. Must be able to develop specifications for new products/services, applications, capabilities, and service offerings. Must be able to assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications. Must be able to take on assignments with varying levels of responsibility. Must be able to exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Has excellent communication and presentation skills both oral and written. Has an agile mindset and capable of using Kanban/Scrum methods to perform work. Has the capability of a modern thinker with an understanding of legacy systems and applications. Able to follow necessary established policies, guidelines, and procedures. Must be technology savvy with experience performing in teams to address a value-based outcome. Must have strong analytic, organization and problem-solving skills enabling sound decision making. Education and Work Experience Must possess an accredited bachelors degree in the field of computer science, information technology engineering or related technical field and/or demonstrated work experience with up to 5 years of progressive information technology architecture experience. Must possess more than 10 years of demonstrated progressive information technology experience directly related to solution engineering, business application operations, integration, information security, or other specialized technology fields focused on business outcomes. Strongly Preferred Experience in Healthcare or Healthcare Insurance Payer industry. Proven professional experience in a role with strategic planning, resource planning, business process engineering, and budgeting. Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization. Prior experience in team leadership role. Strong Ideation and Design Thinking Facilitation capturing Desired/Aspirational Outcomes to a Design Desired Experience in Medicaid, Medicare, or Group Healthcare Insurance. Experience in digital transformation and modernization. Experience with third party vendors and supporting vendor relationships.
