JOB SUMMARY: The API Integration Developer is responsible for designing, developing, documenting, implementing and full lifecycle management of custom API solutions, API platform management, and solutions integration for the organization. This position is responsible for constructing general software solutions as part of a team as well as working independently. This position is also responsible for taking a leadership role when developing and supporting solutions design and API integration. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assesses the health and performance of web services, providing support activities for both production and test environments. Establishes, participates, and maintains relationships with business units, customers, and subject matter experts in order to remain apprised of direction, project status, architectural and technology trends, risks, and functional/integration issues. Defines specifications and develop services, modifies existing services, engineer and prepare test data, and document functional specifications. Analyzes program and application performance using various programming languages, tools and techniques. Reviews project proposals, evaluates alternatives, provides estimates and makes recommendations. Designs and defines specifications for integration solutions, including services and change/updates to ETL jobs. Identifies potential process improvement areas and suggests options and recommends approaches. Take ownership of the delivery of features and capabilities throughout the development process Respond to internal requests as well as external customer requests pertaining to integration requirements. Troubleshoot issues with internal integration platforms using a combination of tools and domain knowledge. Support design and development of system interfaces, integration and automated processes. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: An ability to automate business processes to reduce human component, increase accuracy/performance, improve consistency and reliability, which delivers high-quality delivery of value to the business. Experience with programming and scripting with languages like REST, XML, JSON, Java, C#, SSIS, SQL and other tools such as MuleSoft AnyPoint. Knowledge of version control tools like GIT, TFS, Bitbucket, SVN, or CVS. Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows OS. Experience with network infrastructure, database, cloud, data center operations, and security protocols. Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills, and ability to achieve results. An ability to work within a structured environment, including the use of structured methods and approaches and modern development tools. Knowledge of Change Management and SOX methodology. Understanding of data security and privacy legislation and standards such as GLBA, OFAC, MISMO, et al. Advanced knowledge of Bank operations and lending products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations, and other Bank operational policies and procedures. Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, write reports, correspondence and procedures, and speak clearly to customers and employees. Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES: Bachelors degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from a 4 year college or technical trade school and a minimum of 4 years related experience and/or training.
