Title: Sr. Payroll Administrator

Duration: 6+ months contract - extendable

Location: hybrid NYC Onsite/remote

Visa: NO CPT/OPT/H1B

Note- This opportunity can be fully remote with once in a while travel to the NYC location AS NEEDED. Need SOLID Payroll admins that are local enough, professional, clear communications, concise, and understand Payroll laws/regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Process the multi-state end-to-end biweekly, time cards, and out of sequence payrolls using Workday system.
Assist with the new payroll vendor (OSV) project.
Conduct process review, gap analysis, add new perspective to produce solutions and implementing payroll processing improvements.
Partner with the external vendor on the tax filings and deposits to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
Monitor to ensure accuracy of the payroll and pension related integrations from/to Workday/external vendors.
Process payment for the international employees payroll and collaborate with the respective external agents and HR business partners.
Create and maintain a clear and comprehensive Payroll User Guide (Process Documentation).
Produce and create various reports related to payroll, pension and workers compensation.
Prepare GL entries and monthly salary and benefits allocation report to the Finance team.
Process tax levies, child support orders, creditor garnishment, bankruptcy orders, and student loans collections.
Check incoming paper payroll and pension related mail to the NYC office and take actions accordingly.
Provide support to the Associate Director of Payroll Services with ad hoc tasks, special projects and audits.
Carry out a broad range of payroll functions such as invoice processing via NetSuite, maintaining and securing accurate files and records, responding to employee inquiries and actions in Workday.

General Requirements

5-7+ years of solid multi-state payroll, pension plans and benefits rules, regulations and practices per IRS and basic accounting experience.
Project management experience.
Must be detail, results and actions oriented with a high degree of accuracy, self-directed and self-starter.
FPC/CPP and Global payroll preferred.
Excellent skills of written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational, time management, prioritization and information retention.
Ability to ensure sensitive and confidential data is protected and critical need for discretion.
Ability to effectively and efficiently interact with all levels of internal and external business partners and provides exceptional customer service.

Technicall skills Requirements

         Workday payroll and time card system experience is mandatory.

         Ceridian, OneSource Virtual, and/or other payroll systems are a plus.

         Knowledge and experience of payroll GL and basic accounting system.

         Transamerica or equivalent pension plan system.

         Microsoft office especially Excel pivot table, V look up, and formulas.

Education Requirement

         BS Degree in HR, Accounting, Finance or a similar Business discipline.
