Job Description: Data Architect: Demonstrated hands-on experience leading the definition and development of data architectures to support business-focused analytics in large, complex organizations. Includes: Architect and design solutions for data quality, reliability and data governance Drive architecture principles of security, scale, uptime and reliability Demonstrate a strong bias for architecture principles balanced with tactical timelines, cost and risks Contribute to architecture guiding principles, development standards Ability to engage business and technology teams; facilitate collaboration across teams to develop an aligned POV; recommendations to improve our current data architecture to meet specific business needs. Includes: Work with Data Engineering, Commercial Analytics and Enterprise Architecture SMEs - develop conceptual and logical data models to meet business requirements for analytics, including data discovery, self-service, business reporting and dashboards. Work with the cross-functional squad and data engineering leads to recommend implementation approaches and options to address short-term, immediate program requirements; and to lay ground for longer-term strategy, including considerations and options for future enhancements and integrations. Oversee and consult with the team on the physical data model development to assure that recommended data architecture updates; changes and new patterns can be implemented in target solution environment. Experience with modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred. Experience in data lake, data cataloging, metadata management and analytical models. Retail, CPG experience across multiple business functions.
