Title:                                Senior Cloud Data Engineer

Location:                        Remote

Duration:                        6 Month C2H but H1B is fine

Job Description:

Design, develop, optimize, maintain and support data engineering processes and solutions using AWS cloud technologies in a DevOps environment.
Work with Business Users/Analysts to translate business requirements into well-engineered, tested and deployed application systems.
Work closely with BI Data Engineers and Developers, participate in the architecture, design and development of enterprise data warehouse (EDW) components, including Master Data Management, Data Marts, Operational Data Stores, and ad-hoc data needs.
Document and maintain corporate metadata repositories and EDW artifacts such as data dictionaries, architecture diagrams, entity relationship diagrams, source-to-target data mappings, data models, and data flow diagrams.

PRINCIPAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in designing, developing and supporting Data Engineering solutions using Microsoft SQL Server and AWS Technologies (1)
Proven Experience in building AWS data lake-based analytics platforms (1)
Proficiency with AWS Technologies like Athena, Glue, Elastic Search, Data Pipeline, Lambda, Kinesis, Redshift (1)
Expertise in Google Big Query (1)
Expertise in T-SQL, Python, R, Java/JavaScript, REST APIs (1)
Expertise in using Version Control Systems like Visual Studio, SVN, Clear Case (1)
Expertise in building and managing complex data engineering solutions (1)
Hands on experience with large data conversion and data migration projects (1)
AWS Certification (1)
Experience with NoSQL database Technologies like Dynamo DB is desirable (2)
Experience with AI/ML technologies is a definite plus (2)
Excellent written and oral communication skills (2)
Experience with Project Management Methodologies like Agile, ITIL (2)
Experience with Apparel Retailing Business (3)
Familiarity with PLM/ERP/Sales/POS/OMS/Planning/Finance/HR functions (3)
