This individual will be joining a growing team and will be completing lab testing and integration in a 5G environment. ORAN ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS: Two test platforms (hardware/software) different layers of an end-to-end network Viavi AND/OR Keysight preferred 5G or Lab Testing experience 5G / Oran Standards, Procedures, & Policies Knowledge Can drive solutions and projects forward using their knowledge of at standards, documentation,& requirements Example: 3GPP Standards Flexible Schedule Flexible with their availability & time Teams they work with could include those from the East Coast, West Coast, West or Eastern Europe, Asia, India, etc. Sometimes they will have to take international calls with different teams for specs on their project for their benefit Communication Skills Needs good verbal skills can be easily understood ORAN ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly contribute to the 5G Challenge - the 5G Challenge aims to accelerate the adoption of 5G open interfaces, interoperable subsystems, and multi-vendor solutions by fostering a large, vibrant, and growing vendor community dedicated to advancing 5G interoperability towards true plug-and-play operation Perform Testing related to the research & functionality of an ORAN stack (i.e. performance, security, components, etc.) while adhering to ORAN standards Research and understand market requirements, standards and new technology to identify, develop, & implement test cases / plans Assist with the design, procurement, assembly / setup and maintain different test configurations Work closely with internal teams, test equipment vendors, carriers and OEM vendors to deliver world class products Assemble test results and logs for analysis Evaluate testing results to ensure they are accurate and complete.
