Role : Infrastructure System Engineer Location : 100% Remote Duration : 6- 18 months+ Interview : Video Great communication Must be an Infrastructure engineer Must have strong RHEL experience Must have strong Middleware experience in the stack listed on JD Must have strong scripting experience in stack listed on JD Summary: The Infrastructure System Engineer is responsible for building, updating, securing, and supporting assigned infrastructure technology. Developing and maintaining relevant procedures and standards to ensure availability of foundational infrastructure systems is also required in this role. Essential Position Functions and Responsibilities : Build, configure, secure, and troubleshoot infrastructure software and hardware systems. Support and maintain complex, multi-data center network, server, and storage infrastructure to ensure high performance and availability. Maintenance, patching, and upgrades of assigned infrastructure systems. Provide recommendations on improvements to the environment and configuration. Develop best practice guidelines for assigned infrastructure systems. Support other projects and initiatives as assigned. Support business continuity goals, including testing and actual events. Skills and Abilities: Proven experience in system administration. Ability to integrate systems into the complex computing environment. Ability and desire to learn new skills and technologies. Proven analytical and problem solving skills. Proven system troubleshooting and performance tuning skills. Ability to create system diagrams and documentation. Effectively interfacing with business and technical stakeholders. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Highly self-motivated and directed. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience required. 4 years of experience in Linux system administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux. 2 years of experience in provisioning and maintaining infrastructure through automation tool or scripting (Ansible, Puppet, Python, Shell, etc.). 2 years of experience in supporting Middleware technology stack (WebLogic, Adobe AEM, Apache HTTPD, LDAP). Understanding and exposure to VMware vCenter and ESXi. Understanding and exposure to SAN and enterprise storage systems. Knowledge or experience in supporting CI/CD framework and DevOps processes. Understanding and exposure to Identity and Access Management systems (SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, etc.).
