Position: Oracle DBA Lead Location: San Antonio, TX or Irvine, CA (Remote) Job Summary: The Oracle DBA will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical DB servers, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of the applications. This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The person should have experience in leading the team. Role and Responsibilities: 8+ Years experience in database administration, operations, and production support Experience in leading a team with 10+ people in rotational shifts. Excellent knowledge in resolving performance tuning issues. Experience in Monitoring, backup/ Recovery Management, DB Provisioning/de-provisioning, DB refresh/restore, HA/DRE, Patching, migration, replication, and upgrades Understanding of Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management Experience in tools such as Service Now, JIRA, Confluence Ability to document solutions and train operational teams. Experience with Amazon Web Services or Azure is a plus. Experience with automation, Ansible, and Python is a plus. Experience in Sybase, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Cloud Control, SQL Server, Postgres, Cloudera, and Hadoop is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication. Flexible, team player, get-it-done personality. Experience in Automation skills (Ansible etc.) Desirable Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to organize and plan work independently. Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams. Experience in a financial domain is a major plus. Certifications in this area are a plus.
