This role will report to the Director of Wor kplace & Network Technology and lead the day-to-day design, development, and operations of various cloud platforms, with an initial focus on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. The engineer will provide expertise as workloads are migrated to the cloud, and partner with internal external architecture & engineering teams on multiple projects. The ideal candidate should have broad knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud best practices. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIE S: # Candidate will perform a range of activities required to design, implement, maintain, and continuously automate a large hybrid infrastructure environment. # Network design and implementation for public and hybrid cloud environment. # Define & im plement migration methodologies techniques to migrate workloads into the cloud in a consistent and repeatable manner. # Manage, maintain, and monitor different infrastructure components (servers, network, applications). # Partner with parent company# s Cloud Center of Excellence to adhere to security and regulatory best practices involving cloud deployments. # Troubleshoot and remediate 2nd and 3rd level issues impacting the operation of the overall infrastructure. # Automate routine systems task s and processes using PowerShell or similar tools. # Maintain security, backup, and redundancy of the enterprise environment. # Build and maintain #playbooks# and other supporting documentation. # Work with team members to perform regular system audi t and security reviews. # Managing projects processes, working independently with limited supervision. # Mentor train junior Engineers. # Other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education: # Bachelor s or Associate degree in Computer Scie nce, Engineering, Technology, or relevant field. # Industry certification is a plus (Azure, GCP, AWS).
