Other duties may be assigned. The Senior Network Engineer will work within a team to manage rapidly growing global network. The Senior Network Engineer has hands-on access to all network devices across the enterprise and works closely with engineering groups within the IT organization to provide advanced network engineering and consultation in the design, development and implementation of network services. Qualifications, Education, & Special Skills Qualifications include: 5-8 years relevant experience as a Network Engineer working in an enterprise environment CCNA is required; CCNP or a similar certification is preferred Proficient knowledge and configuration experience of Cisco routing, switching, and wireless technologies including BGP, MPLS, VPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, QoS, 802.1x and Radius Experience with Public Cloud (AWS, Azure); knowledge of network architectures and service configurations Hands on experience with enterprise firewall technologies (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet) Hands on experience configuring and troubleshooting ACLs, NAT/PAT, DMZ, LAN 2 LAN IPsec/client access VPN Experience with management protocols and network performance monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, syslog, SNMP, netflow, and MRTG Superior problem-solving and analytical skills; proven ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and perform effectively in a deadline driven environment Experience generating both internal and client facing documentation and diagrams with the ability to effectively communicate such work Excellent and thorough understanding of network architecture and design concepts (LAN/WAN) Ability to work flexible hours and support night or weekend work as needed Ability to travel both domestic and abroad Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience What is Expected of You at This Level Manages all Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls, WAPs, and Network Management Solutions across the enterprise (LAN/WAN) Provides architectural recommendations and design enhancements to improve reliability and performance, reduce cost, and allow for company growth and acquisition Keeps detailed knowledge of company network standards and the overall regional and global network environments Maintains network monitoring solution to track performance and uptime Owns IP network design and allocation Performs ongoing network maintenance, upgrades and enhancements to optimize network performance, availability, stability and security Provides technical expertise to support the implementation and modernization of client-facing server and network systems as well as the applications they support Conducts analysis of network characteristics, troubleshoots problems and recommends procurement, removals, and modifications to network and system components for Cisco base networks Provides advanced network engineering and design in support of enterprise network devices and services Documents changes and procedures, including all network diagrams E: [email protected] P: +1 732 838 4025 Keywords: information technology Illinois http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=279141&uid= |
